.Monks is seeking an Arabic speaking Social Media Account Director, who is a digital-savvy go-getter and leader who will manage business accounts at the intersection of creativity and technology. You’ll have experience managing large scale social media and creative projects.
Our ideal candidate has superb communication and documentation skills, identifies gaps, develops processes, and is comfortable leading by example. Most importantly, they must have a passion for social media, a desire to continuously be up to speed on the latest trends (social, tech, culture, etc) and aspirations for greatness! You are a social media-savvy professional, with experience in social media asset management. You are a ‘people person’ with a positive attitude and the ability to organise and influence people within & outside the organisation.
Embedded in our client office in Riyadh, this position will be part of a globally distributed team serving high value clients within Saudi Arabia.
Responsibilities:
- Working as part of our Dubai and Riyadh office, you’ll be wearing multiple hats with direct lead responsibility (including managing multiple members of the account team) at once as part of a long-term 360 integrated digital partnership for our client in Saudi Arabia.

- As an Account Director at the biggest creative production company on the planet, you are the first point of contact for our clients, who seek .Monks for the strategy, creative and production of their diverse briefs.
- You are responsible for managing and growing the clients accounts, working across various streams within it, making sure the work being produced exceeds the client’s expectations and the agreed scope is carried out.
- As Account Director you will be the project lead ensuring that all account roles have clear roles and responsibilities. You will be in charge of helping the team in case they have difficulties developing the work or need material or tools.
- As the project lead you are in charge of leading the team so that the strategic, creative and data product is impeccable. You are responsible for inspiring and helping .Monks work to exceed expectations and overcome all the difficulties that arise in the project.

About you
The essentials:
- As an Account Director you’re responsible for working closely with the Program Lead in orchestrating the entire pipeline from sales to staffing and enabling operations where needed.
- Safeguarding the client relationship and revenue growth, you will look after and work closely with the Program Lead to enable business planning and development to make sure we hit targets and KPIs, identifying opportunities for new assignments that add value to all parties.
- Correct time utilization, ensuring that the team is using their time correctly, helping them to develop the best creative product possible with maximum effectiveness and efficiency in the use of their time.
- Drive monitoring and reporting across the account handled with the Program Lead and Project Manager, ensuring internal and external reporting requirements are met weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually through continuous and structured communication and planning with the client and internal stakeholders
- Own the business and financial planning, monitoring and management of accounts handled as well as the correct billing and invoicing process.
- You are able to build a business case in case an upselling opportunity arises for our clients.. You are fluent with numbers and can make budgets and defend them.
- Track and monitor overall account performance to meet revenue targets - monthly overview of client activities, revenue forecast and future plan, prepare and deliver client presentations, case studies and proposals.
- Demonstrate industry knowledge and application to business challenges, keeping abreast with industry trends and sharing knowledge with the account team and client
- Establish and grow a strong relationship with all client stakeholders and represent the relationship with other client agency partners.
- You understand the local culture and ways of working.
- Work with management in identifying business success factors and risks for new and existing clients.
