THE ROLE
As an Account Manager at Monks, you will work with our stellar team to manage various types of media campaigns for a portfolio of clients. This is a consultative role advising clients on ways to harness different technology solutions, and optimise their digital media performance to drive long-term value and manage their media campaigns. Technology is outpacing our clients’ abilities to adopt and implement these tools so they look to our team for our strategic knowledge of the digital space coupled with our platform know-how to bring results.
THE DAY-TO-DAY
- Manage media campaigns through the full account management life cycle. You will be the key player in kick-off meetings, client relationship management, tech stack implementation, media optimisation, and quarterly business planning.
- Develop and grow relationships with clients, Monks’ partners (such as Google, The Trade Desk, etc), and internal stakeholders, in order to ascertain business needs and craft the best strategic and tactical approach.
- Advise clients on industry trends, the competitive landscape, and how this impacts them.
- Support our sales team with new and existing business opportunities. e.g. technical demos, client onboarding etc
- Analyse data for reporting and optimising advertising campaigns.
- Align client's needs with our solutions to help them achieve their goals and uncover
- opportunities to drive long-term value.
- Keep a pulse on the market and roll out processes & products that would add value to our clients.
- Provide analysis, insight, and expertise for clients on our products and offerings.
- Help to strategise and improve our account management teams' processes and operations as Monks continues to grow at a rapid pace.
- Support the Team Lead in mentoring and assisting Associate Account Managers.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS - MUST-HAVES
- 2-3+ years of experience in digital advertising account management or media planning within a publisher, agency, trading desk, or technology company.
- Proficient in ad buying tools such as Google Marketing Platforms (DV360, CM360, SA360), The Trade Desk, Amazon DSP and/or Google Ads.
- Strong data analysis skills, including proficiency in v-lookups and pivot tables.
- Capable of independently owning client relationships with occasional support from the Team Lead.
- Excellent client servicing and presentation skills.
- Exceptional ability to learn, adapt, discover and test new ideas.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS - NICE TO HAVES
- A solid understanding of data platforms (e.g., Google Analytics 4, Firebase, Adobe Analytics) and their integration with ad buying tools is preferred, but not required.
- Familiarity with planning tools (e.g., Roy Morgan, GWI, Pathmatics, Nielsen) highly regarded, but not required.
- Demonstrated commercial acumen in pricing, budgeting, negotiation, and revenue growth, with an ability to upsell and cross-sell services as relevant to clients
- A strong background in Social platforms (Meta, LinkedIn, Snapchat, TikTok, X etc) is preferred, but not required.
- Understanding of project management principles.
