CRITERIA: Current students studying in Universities which are based in Singapore
INTERNSHIP DURATION: minimum 20 weeks full time commitment with the option of extending up to a further 12 weeks.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO LEARN:
This is an inter-disciplinary project where the intern will be exposed to Machine Learning development pipeline activity starting from the data-collection, data-processing, database management, model training and deployment. Intern will be exposed to a variety of real-world Computer Vision methods, Data processing pipelines, time-series analytical techniques (Rainflow counting, Fourier-series transform, wavelet transform etc.), basic web development for user-interface (UI), and Machine Learning, for various applications in the Package Reliability team.
PROJECT OVERVIEW:
The intern will be responsible for collecting, organizing and analyzing various types of data such as time-series thermal characterization data and interconnect defect image for machine learning purpose.
With the gathered data, intern will be responsible for developing new methodology or data-modelling technique to improve the data accuracy and bring new insight from the processed data.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Data collection
- Data analysis methodology research and exploratory activity
- Implementing and improving current Extract Transform Load (ETL) pipeline for data-processing
- AI model improvement & comparison
- Plan, Implement, and setup Design-of-Experiments (DOE) for thermal characterization activity.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR:
A self-driven and hard-working individual that is willing to learn. We are ideally looking for a candidate with a background in Mechanical Engineering with a strong interest in Machine Learning and Data Science/Analytics.
RELEVANT SKILLSETS:
- Computer Vision
- Knowledge and previous experience working with Image Detection, and Classification using Deep Neural Networks.
- Fundamental understanding of Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, and Linear Algebra.
- Proficient in Python
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Background in Mechanical Engineering and/or Data Science/Analytics
