Amazon EU Customer Fulfillment Learning and Development is seeking an Applied Scientist to lead the development of next-generation learning products using NLP and GenAI. In this role, you will act as the GenAI subject matter expert, working closely with scientists, business intelligence engineers, instructional designers, and other key stakeholders to create innovative learning solutions. Your contributions will directly shape the learning experiences of hundreds of thousands of Associates across Amazon Operations in the EU, making an impactful difference in their journey.
Key job responsibilities
- Apply technical expertise to lead the development of innovative AI solutions, focusing on NLP and GenAI technologies that drive impactful learning experiences and operational improvements.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including scientists, engineers, instructional designers, and business stakeholders, to research, design, and implement AI models that address complex challenges in learning and development.
- Use data analysis and large-scale computing resources to understand and improve user experiences, ensuring the developed tools effectively meet the needs of the L&D team and operators.
- Communicate the technical solutions and their business impact to stakeholders, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and building trust through clear, data-driven results.
- Mentor and develop other scientists within the team, promoting technical excellence and the adoption of best practices in AI modeling and solution development.
- Tackle large, complex problems by designing AI models that address both current and future challenges, contributing to the creation of scalable, robust solutions for L&D and operational performance improvement.
- Contribute to the hiring process by identifying top talent and helping to build a high-performing team of scientists and engineers.
