Amazon's Legal Department is looking for a talented attorney to support our artificial intelligence (AI) public policy, regulatory compliance, and responsible AI strategy for Amazon Web Services (AWS). AWS offers a wide range of AI and machine learning (ML) services for cloud customers, empowering developers to build, train, and deploy AI systems.
In this role, you will work directly with public policy, business, and legal teams to analyze and develop AI policy positions around the world. Duties include: analyzing proposed AI laws, regulations, and guidance and providing feedback on legal and business risks, developing policy positions on responsible use of AI and AI compliance, supporting external policy engagements, and serving as a leader on cutting edge policy, responsible AI, and compliance issues across the development and deployment of AI systems.
You will develop strategies for handling policy and legal issues in creative, business-centric ways, and you will build processes that allow stakeholders to innovate and scale quickly. The successful candidate will be inquisitive, enthusiastic about technology, enjoy working hard and being continually challenged, and demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations. Developing innovative solutions to novel legal questions is part of our daily business. Compensation is based on experience and includes equity compensation.

路 Experience with AI, technology, or policy and regulatory compliance strategy

路 Strong written and verbal communication skills
路 Sound and practical business judgment
路 Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through and meet deadlines
