About the Role
We’re adding to our creative team and looking for an Associate Creative Director of Copy to help lead our copy craft for one of the world's largest companies. In this key role, you’ll drive high-quality content across various digital and physical mediums while partnering with designers, strategists, and creative leads internally. You’ll also work closely with senior clients to shape narratives spanning assets at scale, campaigns, videos, presentations, and more.
As an ACD of Copy, you’ll report to a Group Creative Director while contributing to high-impact storytelling, concept development, and execution. This role is a unique opportunity to shape content on a global scale, pushing creative boundaries, ensuring strategic and brand alignment and becoming part of Adweek’s AI agency of the year.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team to craft engaging, high-quality copy for a major global client.
- Develop and execute content strategies across multiple formats, including web, radio, OHH, social, video, and toolkits.
- Build strong client relationships, positioning yourself as a trusted strategic partner.
- Drive concept development and innovative solutions for creative challenges.
- Champion brand voice and messaging while optimizing for diverse channels and audiences.
- Oversee copy across all projects, refining ideas, resolving creative challenges, and ensuring high standards.
- Become familiar and obsessed with Monks ever evolving host of proprietary AI tools to streamline asset creation.
- Collaborate with designers, animators, project managers, and global Monks talent.
- Own projects from ideation to final execution, ensuring efficiency and excellence.
- Push creative boundaries beyond the original brief while maintaining strategic integrity.
- Navigate tight deadlines with agility, creativity, and a problem-solving mindset.
About You
The essentials:
- 8+ years in copywriting within advertising, marketing, or digital content.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise across digital, social, video, and campaign storytelling.
- Ability to develop brand voice, tone, and messaging guidelines for consistent content delivery.
- Critical thinker with the ability to ask the right questions, analyze strategies, refine ideas and respectfully probe on what doesn’t feel right.
- Exceptional communication skills, with experience presenting and collaborating with clients.
- A self starter who is capable of delivering work and guidance independently and with little oversight.
- Leadership experience with the ability to mentor and guide junior and senior copywriters.
- Hands-on proficiency with Google Docs, Google Slides, and familiarity with Figma.
- The ideal candidate can stay humble and ego-free while pushing the work forward in an environment that encourages expression, inclusivity, and collaboration.
Ideally the candidate will live and work in the Pacific Time zone, but as is the case with a North America wide client, will have to schedule themselves and teams that work in different time zones.
