The Design organization is looking for an Associate Creative Director responsible for creating, executing and developing best-in-class internal and external brand work. Under the leadership of the VP of Design, this role will be a senior member of the design team. We’re looking for someone who is a high-end maker and manager, who can both concept and execute beautifully-crafted brand design, as well as manage other designers, copywriters and production processes.
As ACD you are an inspirational storyteller, because you clearly write and communicate your ideas. You share your reasoning and outcomes through the lens of trends, market understanding, and your own experiences. A champion for listening, building trust, and collaborating with teams throughout the company, you have robust experience in stakeholder management, such as Marketing, Growth and Executive teams. You have the ability to create just enough processes to manage creative requests that come in across the business and coordinate these asks to the right internal team members or freelancers.
The role is open to candidates located in the US and can be remote within the United States. We have offices in Austin, TX and Salt Lake City, UT with employees based across the US. We've built a strong foundation to support remote employees' engagement with other teams.
What you will do at Jasper:
- Lead the creation, execution, and management of creative work at the highest level.
- Craft compelling assets across various formats, from digital platforms to physical spaces like conferences and industry events.
- Be strong conceptually and creatively, as well as a high-end, hands-on designer.
- Articulate design rationales effectively and present work with conviction.
- Uphold meticulous attention to detail and a relentless pursuit of craft.
- Live and breathe identity systems design, strategically, creatively and operationally.
- Collaborate closely with the VP of Marketing to enforce brand guidelines company-wide.
- Be a leader, manager and mentor to other designers across the design team, with one FTE direct report to start.
- Oversee cross-functional projects to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables.
- Oversee and support our Senior Brand Designer in making our website a compelling brand story that leads to an increase in key company metrics, sign ups and trials.
- Have a scrappy, entrepreneurial spirit and enthusiastically accept challenges.
What you will bring:
- 4+ years of experience in a creative leadership role, with a strong portfolio showcasing web design, campaign and overall brand expertise.
- Knowledge of current design trends (and when to chart your own path), technologies, and best practices. Competitors end up copying us, not the other way around.
- Experience hiring and managing external resources, including freelancers and agencies. You’ve mastered getting the most out of a budget to deliver high impact and quality design work at scale.
- Experience defining light-weight project management to field multiple creative requests across various groups. While also developing a monthly set of deliverables that lead to business, customers or colleagues impact.
- Passion for AI technology and its integration into creative processes.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
- Bonus points for experience in the following:
- A SaaS company or a company that serves marketers.
- Video, motion, illustration, content strategy.
- Market research and understanding the performance of your creative.
Compensation Range
At Jasper, we believe in pay transparency and are committed to providing our employees and candidates with access to information about our compensation practices. The expected base salary range offered for this role is $198,000-$240,000. Compensation may vary based on relevant experience, skills, competencies and certifications.
