About the Role
As an Associate General Counsel, AI Research, you will be responsible for advising OpenAI’s research teams in their work to achieve OpenAI’s mission. You’ll partner closely with researchers and engineers to help them plan, develop, and align models such as ChatGPT, Dall-E, Sora, GPT-4o, as well as our future research roadmap
In This Role You Will...
Serve as the primary lawyer supporting OpenAI’s research organization
Work closely with researchers, engineers, and executives to identify and address legal issues related to developing and aligning cutting edge AI models
Become an expert in AI legal matters and help propose and advance AI legal policy positions.
You might thrive in this role if you:
Have 15 years experience as a lawyer, with significant experience in fields such as copyright, privacy, consumer safety, regulatory, product, and/or commercial counseling
Have worked at fast paced innovative companies and law firms
Are comfortable dealing with ambiguity and handling new and challenging situations
