JOB DETAILS:
- Location: Markham, Ontario, Canada
- Onsite: This role requires the student to work full time (37.5 hours a week), in an onsite work structure throughout the duration of the co-op/internship term
- Duration: 16-months, May 05, 2025 - August 27, 2026
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
We are seeking highly motivated Audio Visual Systems Engineering intern to join our team. In this role –
- The Audio / Video Co-Op will be working side by side with Information Technology Collaboration Video and Events team to support and evolve the companies Collaboration platforms.
- Help with Day to day operations and remediation of Video and Audio equipment within the AMD environment with special focus on the Markham facilities equipment.
- Assist in troubleshooting issues with our infrastructure and assist our knowledge workers on optimal use of the technology in order to conduct effective collaboration activities.
- Help design and deploy new AV systems into production and replace outdated technology with new platforms.
- Expand your understanding on how AV technology interacts with Cloud Services and major platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom and Webex.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- Experience interacting with customers of different levels and different backgrounds to root cause service issues and provide customer service.
- Ability to dig through ambiguity and build plans of action for service updates.
- Ability to build inter-team and inter-department relationships to help provide best in class service offerings across the organization.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems and general Microsoft Office applications.
- Looking for a student pending graduation in the Event and Media Production Diploma or related Audio / Video technical education tracks.
- Ability to communicate clearly in the English Language (both Spoken and Written formats)
