Our mission is to design groundbreaking products that drive the future of computing, serving as the backbone for Data Centers, AI, HPC, and Embedded systems. THE PERSON:

At AMD, you’ll have the opportunity to work closely with a group of innovative individuals, creating cutting-edge internal automation tools and solutions that are essential for the validation of our next-generation data center technologies. Your role will be pivotal in designing and developing these tools and technologies, while collaborating with validation team members to brainstorm, share ideas, and drive projects to success. Together, we’ll make a significant impact on the future of data centers.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain in-house automation tools and infrastructure solutions that can scale across various products, nodes and users.
  • Engage multi-disciplinary stakeholders for requirement gathering and issue resolving.
  • Develop deep understanding of upcoming AMD platforms, IPs, tools, and programming libraries to create relevant and cohesive solutions.

 

MANDATORY EXPERIENCE

  • Over 7 years of proven experience in developing high-quality and advanced Python-based software solutions.
  • Extensive knowledge of operating systems, particularly as a proficient Linux power user.
  • Extensive experience in testing and debugging software/hardware/embedded solutions, including the use of diagnostic tools and protocols (SSH, RDP, RPC).
  • Hands-on experience with troubleshooting, debugging, and setting up computers and network hardware.
  • Possess deep system design and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in version control systems such as Git (GitHub) and SDLC tools like Jira, Azure Boards or Trello.
  • Familiar with structured data formats like JSON and YAML.

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

  

  • Familiar with DevOps practices, including leveraging CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.
  • Familiar with programming languages like C/C++, relational databases and REST API.
  • Familiar with docker, Kubernetes.
  • Familiar with Agile (Scrum/Kanban)
  • Have strong understanding of  in-house automation tools by extending popular off-the-shelf tools or created custom tools.
  • Have strong understanding of computer system, including CPU, GPU, memory, and/or I/O subsystems.
  • Have server or platform management experience using IPMI, RedFish, and knowledge of BMC, RMM.
  • Have hands-on experience validating hardware, embedded systems or drivers.
  • Have experience in a data center environment.

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS

Bachelors/master’s degree in computer engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
