Brand Designer

The brand experience team is looking for another designer to take on new work. Everyone on the team takes on a variety of projects whether it’s consumer, marketing, enterprise, social, and internal surfaces. We help tell the story of Perplexity using traditional graphic design tools, video production, industrial design, and generative AI.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to brand development across consumer, marketing, enterprise, social, and internal surfaces.
  • Contribute to growth marketing and brand marketing strategies by designing anything that might be effective. Whether it’s a marketing site, a t-shirt, or figuring out what sound a button should make when its pressed, you are eager to do something special.
  • Design/implement in Framer for marketing, company information, new launches, fun experiments.
  • Contribute to process to ensure we are always shipping new things you are proud of, as often as possible.

Requirements

  • You could build a brand from scratch or help evolve an existing one.
  • You are an expert in your domain but excited to learn new things.
  • You don’t want to just work with predefined stencils, you want to actually create something every day.
  • You think strategically.
  • You are happy to be scrappy, move quickly, and have a lot of ownership.
  • You care about shipping more than anything else.
  • You study successful brands, always looking for new ideas.
  • Experience working on a large scale global brand.
  • Excellent communicator as a collaborator and in your work.
  • Excellent graphic design skills.
  • Comfortable using Framer or eager to learn.
  • Experience with 3D, animation, or sound design a plus.

 

 

The cash compensation range for this role is $125,000 - $160,000.

In January 2024, we raised $73.6 million in a Series B round led by IVP, with participation from NVIDIA, Jeff Bezos' investment fund, NEA, Databricks, and other prominent firms. We followed that up with a $62.7 million Series B1 round in April 2024 led by Daniel Gross, valuing Perplexity at over $1 billion.

Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including, experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
 
Equity: In addition to the base salary, equity is part of the total compensation package.
