JOB DETAILS:
- Location: Santa Clara, CA, US
- Onsite/Hybrid: This role requires the student to work full time (40 hours a week), either in a hybrid or onsite work structure throughout the duration of the co-op/intern term
- Duration: May 27, 2025 - August 8, 2025 or June 23, 2025 - September 12, 2025
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
Advanced Technology Group (ATG) is an entrepreneurial research and development team tasked to build AMD's future IPs (Initial Prod), new platforms, and exciting products. You will have the opportunity to work with a winning organization, explore innovative technologies, and collaborate with various R&D teams and customers in a joint effort to develop best-in-class hardware, software, and systems that solve real-world problems for end users.

- Camera algorithm design, prototyping, optimization, and productization
- Imaging R&D, with focus on innovation, new features, and proof of concept studies
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- We are looking for a talented and result-oriented individual to define, prototype, optimize, and evaluate camera control and image processing algorithms (classical and AI-powered) to contribute to various market-leading solutions with outstanding image and video quality.
- The ideal candidates should be self-motivated, passionate about camera imaging, and skilled in algorithm prototyping and optimization. They should have a critical eye and attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to learn quickly. The candidates are expected to work both independently and efficiently with team members of diversified backgrounds.
- Strong background and interest in image processing and computer vision
- Excellent C/C++, Matlab, Python, and scripting fundamentals
- Ability to prototype algorithms and quickly learn new technologies
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and writing skills
- Must be pursuing bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, electrical engineering, or other relevant areas
