Botkube’s mission is to significantly improve the day to day operations of Platform Engineers and Developers. These highly skilled and experienced people are often overwhelmed by context switching across the range of daily tasks. They switch between different tools and responsibilities such as troubleshooting pipelines, monitoring infrastructure, checking service statuses, supporting the dev team—all part of “EverythingOps”. We are bringing the key information they need into a single AI powered and context aware platform, enabling teams to focus on what matters most—building and maintaining robust platforms.
 
This is an opportunity to lead a startup at its early stage where the problem has been identified with some customers while working towards the next generation product platform.  We are looking for a business development focused CEO with a strong track record in startups, proven ability to hire great people, previous experience raising venture capital, and is a great storyteller. The right candidate should have experience with Software Tools for IT Enterprise infrastructure and be passionate about applying AI tech to solving real world technical problems. This is a remote role with a strong preference for Eastern and Central time zones.
 
Botkube is currently funded by Insight Partners and Ratmir Timashev Family Trust. Insight Partners is one of the largest VC/PE Software funds in the world.  Ratmir is a serial Entrepreneur himself. He is the Founder and a former CEO of Veeam, an IT Enterprise backup company valued at several billion dollars. 
 
Botkube is coming out of Kubeshop - a studio accelerator focused on building Software tools for the Cloud-Native space. Kubeshop was founded in 2021 by Ole Lensmar(CTO) and Dmitry Fonarev (CEO). Ole is a Founder of SoapUI - a hugely popular open-source API Testing tools, a former Chairman of Open-API (Swagger) Linux foundation.  Dmitry has been part of several successful exits with VC and PE funded companies, IPO and a failed start-up for good measure.  

What You Will Be Doing:

  • The CEO will be in charge of leading company operations, financial and organizational management, overall growth strategy and milestones (e.g. product launch, customer acquisition and revenue).
  • The CEO will work on go-to-market, overall strategy and vision for Botkube along with Dmitry and Ole until the company is spun off.
  • The CEO will work closely with Dmitry to ensure the company is delivering on critical milestones for the next round of funding.
  • Ensure Botkube reaches product market fit and focuses on getting referenceable customers, scale the business and own sales and marketing. 
  • Develop fundraising strategy and investor relationships.

    Requirements For The Role Include:

  • Previous experience in B2B Enterprise Software Tools space
  • Demonstrated skills in a startup leadership capacity 
  • Experience with early stage customer acquisition, going from 0 or 1, land and expand, inside sales GTM motions
  • Ability to think strategically and the foresight to think about problems ahead of time. 
  • Experience leading customer outreach, understanding market needs, and driving the company towards product market fit.
  • Successful fundraising experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to kick start, grow and scale sales and business development efforts for B2B SaaS and On-Prem products
  • Experience managing distributor teams and people strongly preferred
