Chief of Staff / Technical Program Manager Leader

 

THE TEAM:

AMD's Data Center GPU organization is transforming the industry with our AI based Graphic Processors. Our primary objective is to design exceptional products that drive the evolution of computing experiences, serving as the cornerstone for enterprise Data Centers, (AI) Artificial Intelligence, HPC and Embedded systems. If this resonates with you, come and joining our Data Center GPU organization where we are building amazing AI powered products with amazing people.

 

THE ROLE:

As Operations Chief of Staff/ Sr. Program Manager in the Data Center Graphics Processor Unit (DCGPU) you will help to drive and evolve the processes that the business runs upon. Your objective is to enable DSGPU business processes to execute at a standard befitting the world-class products and solutions that our teams create. You will work closely with the the leadership team and a wide range of stakeholders throughout the company to help the data center business meet its strategic objectives. 

 

THE PERSON:

As AMD’s data center business continues to grow, so do the opportunities for individuals to grow in scope and responsibility. The ideal candidate for this role will start with solid skills and expertise in operations and program management and will be motivated to further develop themselves.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and improve business processes for the Data Center Graphics Processor Unit
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure team preparation for important deadlines, pre-reads and meetings.
  • Moderate process forums, capture minutes and actions, and follow up with action item owners to ensure closed-loop accountability.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 10 years of program management experience in semiconductors (or a related field)
  • Adaptable communication skills, including the ability to convey information clearly and at a level appropriate for both senior executives and individual contributors / stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute operational and business processes and metrics, and initiative to identify and drive improvements to process and visibility as needed.
  • Experience with cross-organization project work and with building relationships to enable influence without authority.
  • Strong organizational skills for record keeping.
  • Experience in proactively establishing expectations and ownership for deliverables, as well as holding owners accountable.
  • Has driven product development with hardware platforms and related software ecosystem. Specific experience with x86 SOC products, firmware and PC industry suppliers/OEMs is preferred.
  • Breadth knowledge of x86 CPU/SoC/Chipset/Graphics architecture, firmware, and experience in functional, electrical, power-performance or security pre- and post- silicon validation.
  • Demonstrated ability to grasp new technical concepts quickly and to lead technical teams
  • Problem solving capability with confidence to evaluate risks and tradeoffs and present solution options to executive leadership
  • Ability to influence horizontally across multiple internal functional organizations
  • Skilled in interfacing with customers, partners and in managing joint-development projects
  • Ability to understand and extract action plans from complex technical discussions and translate into succinct messaging tailored for varied targeted audiences

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, business or a technology related field.
  • PMP certification strongly preferred.
