The Role

We're looking for a Commercial Communications Lead to join a cross-functional group who are responsible for externally communicating Palantir's work and values. This is a unique opportunity to be one of the core members of the corporate media team at Palantir. Our team works hard to develop narratives with a sharp perspective and is constantly developing new ways to introduce Palantir and re-introduce its customers in creative and effective ways.

A successful candidate understands the media landscape, is quick to catch newsworthy trends and is an expert in time management and prioritization. This person is someone who wants to be part of a fast-paced environment and adept at handling multiple projects at the same time by executing processes to streamline workflows and reduce friction. The Commercial Communications Lead will be responsible for working internally with our Commercial and International teams to develop and manage press opportunities and work externally cultivating reporters and pitching news. The role requires a combination of operational thinking, project management, and thoughtful communication.

The Commercial Communications Lead will be responsible for working internally with our Commercial and International teams to develop and manage press opportunities and work externally cultivating reporters and pitching news. Core Responsiblities

  • Cultivate and manage potential press opportunities.
  • Build out strategic campaigns to help build brand awareness and achieve business goals.
  • Manage media relations, respond to media inquiries, prepare media summaries and develop a messaging strategy.
  • Write press releases and talking points, maintain and update Palantir artifacts and press kits.
  • Project coordination on content production for events and promotion to social channels.
  • Assist the media team with executing marketing projects and meeting project deadlines.
  • Partner closely with Head of Global Media, design, leadership, content strategists, marketing, and media team.
  • What We Value

  • 7+ years of PR agency experience or corporate in-house technology communications experience preferred. Experience in healthcare PR is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal comms skills.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong program/project management and organization skills.
  • Proven track record of effectively interacting with senior management and ability to work strategically and collaboratively across departments.
  • Enthusiasm in bringing order and efficiency to internal initiatives and supporting internal projects.
  • Multi-lingual is a plus.
  • What We Require

  • Ability to travel 25-50% of the time to other Palantir offices, external conferences, and client meetings.
  • Ability to come into the office 3-4 days a week.
  • Salary

    The estimated salary range for this position is estimated to be $125,000 - $175,000/year. Total compensation for this position may also include Restricted Stock units, sign-on bonus and other potential future incentives. Further note that total compensation for this position will be determined by each individual’s relevant qualifications, work experience, skills, and other factors. This estimate excludes the value of any potential sign-on bonus; the value of any benefits offered; and the potential future value of any long-term incentives.
