Figure is an AI Robotics company developing a general purpose humanoid. Our Humanoid is designed for corporate tasks targeting labor shortages and jobs that are undesirable or unsafe. We are based in Sunnyvale, CA and require 5 days/week in-office collaboration. 

We are looking for a Commercial Maintenance Technician. In summary, the role will be to lead onsite technical maintenance at Customer site and to build out an ongoing maintenance plan for Figure’s customers. In addition, this person will help operate the robot at the Customer site. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for understanding all technical aspects of the robot to perform onsite maintenance and technical repairs at Customer location
  • Will need to maintain and keep their technical knowledge ongoing with regular visits to Figure’s HQ
  • Responsible for building a maintenance and technical plan to service customers as Figure grows and deploys more robots
    • Subsequently, oversees this plan and ensures customer satisfaction
  • May help operate the robot at Customer site, as needed

Requirements: 

  • 4+ years experience working with complex systems
  • Familiarity with computer based tools such as, but not limited to, CMD prompt, Google Suite, in house development GUI’s
  • Familiarity with electrical hardware based diagnostic tools such as,  but not limited to, Scopes, Digital MultiMeter, Current Probes
  • Familiarity with torque tools and mechanical assembly
  • Ability to read PCB and Harness schematics
  • Full system architecture diagnostic experience and organized diagnostic processes
  • Ability to remove and replace mechanical components up to 50lbs
  • Great attitude and excited to face challenges

Bonus Qualifications: 

  • Catia or CAD based program experience
  • Programming experience Python Java C++
  • Fabrication experience
  • PCB Rework experience
  • DAQ system implementation experience
  • Small brushless motor experience
  • Harmonic drive, clutches, torque/force sensor  knowledge
  • Robotics experience
  • Experience using Jira, Confluence, Slack
  • IPC 610, 620 or J-Std-001
