The Role:

We are seeking a seasoned Employee Engagement Communications Tools Manager to lead the employee communications efforts for increased employee engagement and efficiency of communications vehicles being utilized and implemented.  The ideal candidate will leverage their technical and digital marketing understanding, project management skills and stakeholder engagement capabilities to drive high priority enhanced employee engagement and efficiency of delivery of key corporate messages and initiative to them to drive AMD’s thought leadership and employee focused engagement initiatives. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a creative flair, possessing a good digital expertise and experience of leading multi-channel strategies.

The Person:

  • The person should have strong communication skills with the ability to help translate the company’s needs into effective digital communications vehicles.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities to identify potential issues and drive the team to solutions.
  • The person should possess the desire to tackle additional responsibilities and learn a variety of digital tools, such as effective digital communications vehicles, comms engagement governance and data analysis.
  • The person should have the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • The person should have experience in digital marketing and will be a liaison between the exec comms team, the business and IT Team (amount other stakeholders such as legal and marketing) and incubate a project right from requirements gathering and manage till implementation and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and document employee communications digital asset requirements to align employee demand and use cases with best in class levels of engagement and efficient communication avenues.
  • Bridge the gap between employee requirements and digital communications solutions ensuring common understanding and comms/company alignment.
  • Review, analyze, and evaluate communications systems and vehicles, and user needs.
  • Review technical and digital requirements and availability landscape.
  • Possess and develop business and employee engagement acumen to accurately lead the digital requirements, build use cases, storyboarding and piloting (where appropriate).
  • Prior experience on coordination with business users, subject matter experts and other key stakeholder groups required.
  • Beyond just addressing satisfying employee engagement preferences and effectiveness requirements, tie digital asset requirements to decisions that need to be made and to the Company’s strategic objectives.
  • Drive all project management.
  • Assist in execution of project life cycle, including as-is and to be analysis, scope definition, process improvement and employee engagement ROI.
  • Develop AI awareness and digital offering competencies to future proof the Company’s employee engagement tools.
  • Partner with IT teams and evaluate designs and ensure compliance to internal system capability.
  • Become an integral part of the Exec comms and employee engagement organizations while building strong relationships with HR, marketing, IT and legal.

 Requirements and Skills Needed:

  • Proven track record in digital marketing or communications role in a Semiconductor company.
  • Problem Solving – Roll up the sleeve in needed and drive team to derive optimal solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills – ability to help translate employee and communications needs into digital deliverables.
  • Strong desire to learn and willingness to take up additional responsibilities.
  • Ability to build operational improvements and understand how digital tools can be leveraged to accelerate effective communications and operational improvements.
  • Ability to work in a team environment delivering quality output that meets requirements working to a timeline.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team atmosphere.
  • Explore new communications solutions and improvement opportunities to continually enhance the functionality that fulfills the stakeholder needs.
  • Experience working directly with stakeholders, vendors, and technical team members.
  • Be a self-starter and motivated person to be continually enhancing your skills.
  • Ability and willingness to learn new AI driven tools and functionality.

 




At AMD, your base pay is one part of your total rewards package.  Your base pay will depend on where your skills, qualifications, experience, and location fit into the hiring range for the position. You may be eligible for incentives based upon your role such as either an annual bonus or sales incentive.
