Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Storage Engineer with expertise in managing and scaling storage solutions. This role focuses on architecting, deploying, and maintaining high-performance storage systems tailored to support data-intensive workflows across various applications.
The ideal candidate is passionate about cutting-edge storage technologies, scalability, and optimizing data storage performance. The engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and deploying shared system resources. They will also work on performance analysis and troubleshooting, data recovery strategies, and backup measures.
What You Will Do
D As a Storage Engineer, you will architect, deploy, and manage high-performance storage systems to support data-intensive workflows across diverse applications. You will be responsible for designing and maintaining scalable storage infrastructure while ensuring its reliability, security, and optimal performance.
In this role, you will oversee the provisioning, capacity planning, and resource allocation of file, block, and object storage systems. You will monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex storage issues, and implement performance optimization strategies such as tuning, data compression, and deduplication.
Your expertise will be key in designing and executing backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies to protect critical data and maintain its integrity. You'll also manage system integrations, firmware updates, patches, and hardware/software upgrades to ensure seamless operation and robust storage environments.
Collaboration is essential as you'll work closely with IT, DevOps, and Cloud infra teams to integrate storage solutions with compute clusters and applications. Additionally, you'll maintain comprehensive documentation of storage architectures, configurations, and processes to support operational excellence.
Your technical proficiency and passion for storage technologies will drive innovation and efficiency, making you an invaluable contributor to the organization's infrastructure and data solutions.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management and overall 10+ years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- Technical Expertise:
- Proven experience in managing and scaling storage solutions, including SFA (Storage Fusion Architecture) systems.
- Proficiency in storage protocols such as NFS, SMB, Lustre, and GPFS.
- Familiarity with storage monitoring tools and frameworks.
- Knowledge of storage networking, including SAN and NAS.
- Storage System Management:
- Administer, maintain, and optimize storage solutions (file, block, object) for high-performance computing and data-intensive workloads.
- Ensure scalability, reliability, and security of storage infrastructure.
- Manage storage provisioning, capacity planning, and resource allocation.
- Performance Optimization:
- Monitor storage systems to ensure optimal performance and identify potential bottlenecks.
- Implement strategies for performance tuning, data compression, and deduplication.
- Data Protection and Recovery:
- Design and implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions for storage.
- Ensure data integrity and compliance with organizational and industry standards.
- Integration and Upgrades:
- Integrate storage with compute clusters, applications, and other infrastructure components.
- Manage firmware updates, patches, and storage hardware/software upgrades.
- Troubleshooting and Support:
- Diagnose and resolve complex storage-related issues in a timely manner.
- Provide support to internal teams for storage-related queries and configurations.
- Documentation and Collaboration:
- Maintain detailed documentation of storage architecture, configurations, and procedures.
- Collaborate with IT, DevOps, and HPC teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of storage systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications related to storage technologies or storage systems.
- Experience with high-performance computing (HPC) environments.
- Knowledge of hybrid storage architectures and integrating on-prem with cloud-based solutions.
- Scripting experience in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automating storage tasks.

Document Return Policy
