Monks is hiring for a B2B Creative Director.
In this pivotal role, you will lead the creative direction for groundbreaking campaigns that captivate audiences and earn accolades. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to turn client briefs into innovative concepts while staying on top of the latest cultural and digital trends. Craftsmanship is key, and you’ll champion excellence in execution to bring creative visions to life. Additionally, you’ll be a key partner to business leadership, fostering strong client relationships and contributing to the growth of our creative department.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and inspire: Provide strategic guidance and creative leadership throughout the ideation and production process, ensuring excellence even under tight deadlines and high-pressure situations.
- Push creative boundaries: Champion the highest level of craftsmanship, developing award-winning concepts that challenge the status quo.
- Inspire fresh perspectives: Bring new ideas to the table, challenging creative briefs, and pushing the envelope of what’s possible.
- Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with business leadership, strategy teams, and clients, acting as the primary client-facing representative.
- Foster creative culture: Contribute to the development of the creative department by promoting a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Mentor junior talent: Share your expertise and mentor junior team members, nurturing their growth and elevating the overall quality of work.
- Shape Monks’ brand: Play an instrumental role in shaping Monks’ brand, processes, and culture, driving excellence across all creative work.
- Stay ahead of trends: Engage with industry technologies, events, and initiatives to stay current with emerging trends and best practices.
- Lead global creative efforts: Work on a global scale to create effective digital campaigns tailored to local platforms, in partnership with our largest global client.
- Lead creative processes: Guide creative efforts across the entire account, from small to large-scale campaigns, ensuring they meet the highest standards.
- Client engagement: Present and collaborate directly with clients—both in-person and via video calls—to elevate their designs to the next level.
- Own the creative vision: Translate client and internal briefs into actionable creative direction, leading the visual style and execution.
- Concept and execution: Direct the visual style on select projects while ensuring consistency with predefined styles on others. You’ll also be hands-on, creating proposals, sketches, and mockups to kickstart new projects.
- Ensure excellence: Guarantee all work aligns with campaign objectives and client expectations, improving the work by offering fresh angles, inspiration, and best practices.
The Essentials:
- At least 10 years of experience in advertising or at an agency. At least 2 years in B2B marketing/creative.
- Proven experience in managing regional and international campaigns, with a demonstrated ability to create award-winning concepts on a global scale.
- International exposure and participation in creative and effectiveness awards are highly valued.
- Expertise in media-agnostic thinking and execution, with the ability to tell compelling stories and inspire teams.
- Exceptional presentation skills, with a digital-native mindset and familiarity with social platforms and content production.
- Strong creative ownership: You will drive the creative vision and maintain leadership throughout the project lifecycle.
- Natural leader: Provide clear direction to in-house teams, empowering them to take ownership of their briefs.
- A knack for snappy writing and a natural feel for visual design.
Not a must, but a plus:
- Experience in experiential marketing or AI.
- Proficiency in additional Southeast Asian languages (e.g., Mandarin, Bahasa, Thai).
