Welocalize is an award-winning localization and data transformation company. We run one of the world’s largest Ads Rating Programs and we want you to join our team as a data Scientist. 
   
As a data Scientist, you will play a critical role in achieving our team’s vision of fully harnessing the wealth of data available to us. 
 
You will harness a trove of data related to AI-driven search engines to measurably drive quality-related decisions for our AI relevance ranking program. 
 
You will utilize advanced data science and deep analysis techniques to derive actionable insights, build advanced predictive models, and collaborate cross-functionally to inform data-driven decision-making. 
 
You’ll be part of a wider team of data scientists, analysts, and expert raters working to improve the digital experience for end-users across the world. 
 
In other words, your unique and proven skills to understand and manipulate data will drive the future success of our AI programs. 
 
This role is great for people who: 

- Show expert proficiency in SQL and programming languages such as Python and/or Ruby.
- Are excited to elevate existing data analyses, introduce advanced modeling techniques, and achieve deeper insights.
- Proactively identify opportunities to leverage advanced analytical techniques to drive improved outcomes.
- Have experience devising, proposing, and conducting A/B testing and other experimental designs to validate business hypotheses and strategies.
- Have demonstrated experience in engaging in text analytics, anomaly detection, and deep learning projects as relevant to business needs.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to communicate complex data concepts to various stakeholders.

Job Title: Data Scientist 
Location: Remote/work from home, Spain– Note: Even though the position is WFH, you must reside in Spain. This will be automatically checked during the hiring process. 
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week 
Start Date: ASAP 

Experience & Requirements

Required: Excellent understanding and use of English (written and spoken).
Required: Master’s or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field. 
Required: Expert proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and statistical concepts.
Required: 3+ years proven experience in predictive modeling, machine learning, and statistical analysis in an applied business context leading to measurable business outcomes. 
Required: Must sign a standard Non-Disclosure Agreement.
Required: Robust familiarity with data visualization tools, especially MicrosoftPowerBI. 
Preferred: Knowledge and experience of AI-driven search engines and/or other AI applications 
Preferred: Familiar with working in an Agile development environment.
Preferred: Experience with NLP and its applications in a business context is preferred.
