Datacenter Operations Manager
This senior level position will be responsible for deploying and maintaining systems and servers in our data center, as well as networking and monitoring systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Directly Responsible Individual for our Data Centers (DC) and operations
- Manage a team of FTE and contractors for 24/7/365 DC support - this includes staffing decisions, retention and team development.
- Builds environment where Team is motivated and supported - understand Groq priorities and shapes entire DC Team vision towards supporting those goals
- Proactively prepares the DC Site for variety of situations - leads the DC Site as a role model resource for all problem-solving
- Effectively communicate across teams in regards to project management
- Accurately record inventory and drive efficiency in process
- Promptly respond to incoming tickets with proactive problem-solving mindset
- Requires on-call duties, shared with other staff
Ideal candidates have/are:
- Extensive experience in a small company environment
- Desire to take ownership, drive solutions and to make a difference
- Ability to train entry-level and up employees
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely through video, IM and other systems
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
Minimum qualifications:
- Advanced problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Detail Oriented and Highly Organized
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Proven ability to work with external parties including vendors and customers
- Self-motivated and driven to achieve results
- Flexibility working across multiple systems and contexts
- 4 year degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent professional experience required
- Some travel is required, both US and international
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience working in a startup environment
- Experience working within a data center or network operation center environment
- macOS and Linux System Administration experience
- Interest in AI/ML technologies

Compensation: At Groq, a competitive base salary is part of our comprehensive compensation package, which includes equity and benefits. For this role, the base salary range is 480,000SAR to 720,000SAR, determined by your skills, qualifications, experience and internal benchmarks.
