Monks is hiring for a Designer.
You'll craft and adapt images from both AI and traditional sources to be used and reused in campaign toolkits for the world's most recognizable brands.. We are looking for someone who is passionate about seeking new opportunities to create impactful work.
Responsibilities:
- Specialize in designing everything from visuals, to platforms, to social posts, to an entire brand visualizations across multiple touch points.
- Run and manage your own workstream.
- Think beyond the creative brief to push outside of expectations offering new angles, best practices and practical solutions — guaranteeing projects meet and exceed our standards across design, animation, and creativity.
- Help create and evolve the visual language of our client brands through design.
- For some projects, you set the style; for others, you help safeguard predefined styles.
- Utilize user-centric thinking and a strong aesthetic sensibility to drive creative challenges forward.
- Work collaboratively with multiple cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Key contributor of concepts and problem solving across multiple projects.
- Style proposals, approaches, decks and mockups to kickstart new projects and win pitches.
- Come without ego, respect one another and chase greatness together.
The essentials:
- You’re a technically skilled designer with 2+ years of experience as a designer, crafting digital designs and advertising materials.
- As demonstrated in your portfolio, you should have strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (including but not limited to Photoshop, Illustrator) and other visual design software. Experience with video filming and editing software is a plus.
- Experience with or solid knowledge of AI image generation tools and applications (such as Midjourney, DALL-E, Stable Diffusion), including understanding of prompt engineering and AI image refinement.
- Working with clients and colleagues both locally and around the world, you also need to have strong communication & presentation skills, and client facing experience.
- You have experience with all stages of the design process, from conceptualizing branding styles to finalizing layouts and rolling out designs across formats and markets.
- You have a deep understanding of how to design for China’s fast paced, ever-changing digital landscape and a passion to keep up with the latest trends and developments.
- Chinese required - proficient English a huge plus.
- Automotive industry experience is highly preferred, especially with luxury car brands.
