Monks is a digital-first marketing and advertising services company connecting the dots across content, data & digital media and technology services. Inspired by the connectivity and flexibility of technology APIs, Monks’ single-P&L model offers brands seamless access to a nearly 6,000-strong team of digital talent organized across 57 talent hubs in 33 countries.

With us, you'll find a diverse group of colleagues with different backgrounds and perspectives. We believe everyone has something of value to offer, and that sustaining a truly diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace begins with fostering an environment where people can be themselves, authentically, every day. We want to build something with the potential to change the heart of our industry, and we’d love to include your unique perspective.

In the role of a Digital Asset Manager, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of digital and print assets to platforms and vendors and administering the uploads to the Digital Asset Management system for one of MediaMonks’ biggest clients. Our creative production teams across the globe produce content for every possible channel you can think of on a daily basis. All this content has to be properly structured, named, tagged and stored in our client’s DAM platform as well as uploaded to various platforms for trafficking following the respective guidelines and naming conventions.

In addition to that, you are responsible for training new team members, offering first-line support on user questions, PM queries, and producing documentation and reporting for each delivery.

Our DAM also has an asset library, used by our client and their agencies. You can assist our monks with questions they receive from these parties too. Part archivist/vault, part technology wizard, part instructor, and part enforcer, you will use your skills and knowledge to help the team work efficiently. This is high-volume, high-velocity work. Accuracy is critical and new material will be coming in from many teams.

Our ideal candidate is a fast and flexible go-getter who jumps on tasks at hand but also looks ahead at what is coming in the (near) future) collaboration with our creative and operational team is key here.
You have a solution-oriented mindset, a sharp eye for detail, a knack for building and maintaining processes and relationships, and a natural aptitude for collaboration and tech.

In this role, you will:

  • Your key objective is flawless, timely & complete syndication of assets to platforms and DAM using the right naming conventions and metadata. All efforts to ensure assets can be trafficked and found in a heartbeat.
  • Follow asset delivery protocols for each project to the dot while navigating at times uncertain platform delivery requirements through collaboration with PMs and QA team.
  • Produce delivery reports according to the predefined protocols and attach those to the corresponding JIRA tasks.
  • Flag in advance any risks related to the timeliness or completeness of the delivery of the files.
  • Your role is key in making our collaboration with clients a success. If assets are not delivered to platforms on time - a campaign start is at risk and the content team effort to produce the assets on time is annulled.
  • Proactively flag any discrepancies in the requirements or the process and propose solutions/updates to the established process.
  • Maintain and update delivery checklists to ensure consistent processes across all projects and Delivery Teams.
  • Develop and maintain training materials for both the DAM and its integrated tools.
  • Train new and existing monks where needed on our DAM, asset review and approval platform and asset library.
  • Collaborate with your counterparts in other time zones.
  • Answer first-line support questions on the use of the DAM and the asset library.

Experience you already have:

  • 2-4 years of professional experience as a Digital Asset Manager and asset delivery in advertising and marketing.
  • Experience using a Digital Asset Management (DAM) system. Preferably as administrator, or at least as librarian/curator.
  • You’re experienced in working with creative, ops and account teams.
  • You combine asset management with critical thinking and a hands-on approach; this enables you to ask the right questions and waterproof training materials and feature requests for future development.
  • You have a strong understanding about the different types of assets used to make creative work (image, video, sound, font, animation, templates, etc.)
  • An ability to adapt quickly and accommodate creative requirements without compromising compliance and integrity.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal, with excellent communication skills.
  • You are a consummate networker and relationship builder with the ability to navigate a global organization.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure of tight deadlines and changing priorities.
