THE ROLE:
AMD is looking for a specialized senior manager who is passionate about AI model quantization, sparsity, acceleration, and application. You will lead a core team of incredibly talented industry specialists and will work with the very latest Generative AI algorithm and software technology.
THE PERSON:
The ideal candidate should be passionate about AI models and possess engineering skills to drive sophisticated issues to resolution. Experienced in making NLP/Generative AI models efficient on target platform. Able to communicate effectively and work optimally with different teams across AMD.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead a team focus on research, design, and implement novel methods for efficient Generative AI.
- Propose and apply innovative model quantization, sparsity, and acceleration algorithms on various AMD platform, e.g., GPU/CPU/AIE.
- Collaborate with software and hardware team to E2E co-optimize model performance.
- Work with open-source framework and community (e.g., Pytorch, Huggingface) to integrate AMD optimized models and libraries.
- Publish and promote your work.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Strong technical expertise in ML model training and inference. Project experiences in NLP and generative AI.
- Strong technical expertise in algorithmic model optimization e.g., quantization, sparsity, NAS, end-to-end acceleration, etc.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, ability to coordinate internally and externally.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
Master or above degree, majored in CS, EE, Mathematics, or a related field.
7+ years of experience in AI, deep learning and related software development.
