AMD together we advance_ The Role: We are looking for a dynamic, energetic engineering Director to join our growing team. As a key contributor to the success of AMD’s product, you will be part of the fastest growing team within AMD responsible for building GPUs/Accelerated Processors that power the world’s largest systems used for Machine Learning, HPC, and AI. Our customers include some of the biggest names in the industry. This position will be responsible for enhancing our Scale Test capability which includes At Scale Test operations, System Integration testing and Best Known Configuration testing and delivery. The work will require interlock with other engineering teams including the Infrastructure Automation, Domain and Platform validation teams. In addition, this is a key role that interacts with FW and SW teams to establish our full SW stack which is released both internally and to customers. Role is cross-functional and requires technical depth/breadth and strong leadership skills. The role will reside in the Datacenter Graphics and Accelerated Computing team. You will report to the Sr. Director of Platform Testing. In addition to test planning and execution, we are seeking a technical leader that can drive change and innovation to our test capabilities. If you like pushing the envelope of what is possible and collaborate across teams to raise the test bar, you will fit into our future goals. We want people who have system knowledge and experience with highly complex SOC/Systems. The Person: Leading this effort will require a mix of technical and leadership capability. You are a self starter with ability to work across teams to drive complex items. You have strong experience settings up scale infrastructures to support SOC / System Validation. You understand SOC, FW, and SW stack concepts and have been involved in delivering software stacks. You also, have experience with test methodologies to optimize coverage to uncover bugs prior to production. Key Responsibilities: Lead multiple departments that work together to form our Scale test and Best Known Configuration release process Build upon the At Scale strategic effort within team Drive talent acquisition to grow new missions and enhance existing teams Work cross-functionally to drive strategic role of At Scale Operations working closely with relevant teams Serve as thought leader to challenge & work closely with key technical leaders to drive constant improvements Partner with peer validation groups to enhance test content and provide feedback on gaps found during testing Collaborate with FW & SW teams to enhance process flow of code delivery to testing to stack release Preferred Experience: Experience establishing and executing large scale system testing Deep understanding of automation and key challenges growing scale testing Strong experience with SOC, System and SW testing Dev ops experience a bonus Leadership experience leading managers and larger teams of 35+ Proven collaboration skills & ability to drive initiatives cross functionally Effective with communication and building respect with executive level audience Academic Credentials: Bachelor’s Degree (BS) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or other relevant field #LI-DKDAMD1 #LI-Hybrid At AMD, your base pay is one part of your total rewards package.
