AMD together we advance_ THE ROLE: AMD’s Customer Enablement and Migration Engineering team within the Datacenter Ecosystem and Application Engineering (DEAE) organization is We are seeking a Sr. Manager for Global System Integration to lead our strategic initiatives within the data center space. This role is critical in shaping our integration strategies across global operations, ensuring we remain at the forefront of technology and market demands THE PERSON: As the Director Global System Integration and Partner - Enablement, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans that enhance our integration capabilities across all data center operations. You will work closely with senior management, engineering, and operational teams to ensure our strategies align with corporate goals and drive significant business impact. You have outstanding communication and presentation skills, strong analytical/problem-solving and program management skills. You are self-directed, a strategic problem solver, able to handle complexity and ambiguity. The ideal candidate should have experience leading global teams, both direct and virtual, on complex projects that span multiple products. They should have a desire to drive process and program improvements and be able to jump in to solve complex technical problems when needed. They should also have experience engaging with customers and learning from their experiences. Finally, you can work effectively and lead through influence in a cross-functional/matrixed organization. Critical leader will build a solid understanding of the application characteristics of major workloads in the market (i.e., SpecJBB, SpecCPU, AIML Spark, etc.) to assist customers in understanding how best to configure their workload to deliver a Consistent, Predictable, Reliable experience and provide optimization recommendations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Own and drive Customer escalations, remediation of critical customer adoption of AMD platforms and technologies. Ensuring that milestones are met on time, action items are tracked and closed, technical issues are resolved, and program risks are mitigated/bypassed in a timely manner. Manage and manage all escalations with a sense of urgency and professionalism. Strategic Planning: Develop comprehensive strategic plans to enhance system integration across global data centers both enterprise and cloud environments. Identify and evaluate new technologies and methodologies to improve efficiency and performance Ability to build relationships with strategic customers and partners to ensure that AMD datacenter products to match the evolving needs of the market. Collaborate with executive leadership to align integration strategies with overall business objectives. Stakeholder Engagement: Work with internal stakeholders (e.g., IT, operations, finance) to ensure strategic initiatives are well understood and supported. Engage with external partners and vendors to explore strategic collaborations and opportunities. Performance Monitoring: Monitor the performance of implemented strategies to ensure they deliver the desired results. Adjust strategies in response to technology shifts, market trends, and operational feedback. Risk Management: Identify potential risks associated with system integration strategies and develop mitigation plans. Collaborate with AMD technical architects, Field Engineers, Partners, and Customers to understand, map, describe application performance on AMD EPYC Customer Enablement systems that share learned patterns and practices for workload adoption of AMD platform and technologies Document incidents and resolutions thoroughly and incorporate into our internal systems and build out a repository to help AMD Field Engineering drive adoption of AMD platforms at scale Build strong engineering relationships with the program management and engineering counterparts on the partner side Facilitate closure of complex issues and action items requiring multi-party alignment of AMD teams, customers, and their partners. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Proven track record of leading teams and managing large-scale integration groups and projects. With experience AI and ML applications in data center environments Knowledge of global market trends in the semiconductor industry Strong analytical and critical thinking skills and excellent communication skills Strong execution skills, excellent customer management and well-versed workload assessment tools Deep understanding of technical knowledge (systems integration, systems optimization, service engineering, software tooling) and experience in multi-disciplinary areas Experience working in a multi-site and multi-cultural environment and ability to travel as needed (minimal travel expected) Ability to work well under pressure, manage multiple priorities and respond swiftly to incidents Collaborator with passion and hunger to do whatever it takes for business success. Excellent communication skills, with an ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: Master’s degree in engineering, or related science field. Minimum of 18+ years of strategic planning, data center, virtualization and multi cloud environments. #LI-AG1 #LI-HYBRID At AMD, your base pay is one part of your total rewards package. Your base pay will depend on where your skills, qualifications, experience, and location fit into the hiring range for the position.
