AMD together we advance_ Director, Server Activation and Program Management THE ROLE: The Director, Server Activation and Program Management is a key member of the Server Leadership Team, will oversee the design, development, and communication of marketing strategies and campaigns that are designed to establish AMD EPYC product leadership in the market. THE PERSON: The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in marketing server and datacenter products, and strong leadership skills to motivate and engage a team of product marketing, product management, technologists, and corporate marketing professionals both in a direct leadership and matrixed environment to achieve outstanding business results. Key skills: Driving content and activation strategies for campaigns and product launches across the Server BU product organization team including the execution of the campaigns within corporate marketing. Developing AMD’s Server BU industry and AMD-driven event priorities, coordinating with corporate events teams for top tier events and managing smaller events. Leading Server BU program management for the development of content and activation for launches, campaigns and events. Exceptional communication skills to address multiple internal and external stakeholders. Must have experience working closely with C-suite executives Ability to lead outside creative agencies, contractor, consultants to develop content and activation initiatives. Expertise in managing multi-million-dollar budgets, including reporting and engaging with modern ERP systems. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Drive end-to-end marketing campaigns, product launches, and events including strategy, planning, execution and wrap-ups Engage closely with key marketing stakeholders: product marketing, product management, corporate marketing, vertical marketing and BUs to coordinate marketing activities Ownership of a Server BU campaign and event calendar to coordinate activities across the Server BU marketing organizations. Responsible for coordinating marketing claims and metrics with AMD legal team. Lead program management best-practices within the Server BU for content development including training product marketing. Manage a team of program managers to drive the campaign, product launches and events PREFERRED EXPERIANCE: 10+ years of experience in marketing, general management, strategy, product operations or management consulting for Infrastructure/semiconductor/high-tech industry Proven track record of leading highly-complex projects, working cross-functionally, and delivering results on time. Ability to define the path and lay out the vision for others to follow Desire to solve problems and drive continuous improvement 5+ years of People-management experience, developing new talent and recruiting industry experts Deep knowledge of the semiconductor industry International business acumen with understanding of trade regulations, cultural norms, and operating processes Bachelor’s degree in marketing / PR , engineering , or relevant experience ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: BA/BS with industry experience or higher degree preferred LOCATION: Austin, TX or Santa Clara, CA #LI-CJ1 #Hybrid At AMD, your base pay is one part of your total rewards package. Your base pay will depend on where your skills, qualifications, experience, and location fit into the hiring range for the position.
