Figure is an AI Robotics company developing a general purpose humanoid. Our Humanoid is designed for corporate tasks targeting labor shortages and jobs that are undesirable or unsafe. We are based in Sunnyvale, CA and require 5 days/week in-office collaboration.
We are looking for a diligent and detail-oriented Electrical Engineering Technician / Micro-Solder Specialist to join our team. This individual will focus on testing complex components in our humanoid robot and performing micro-solder rework tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble, test, and debug electrical prototypes to the component level, ensuring precision and functionality
- Take the lead in crafting procedures and maintaining detailed records of test, assembly, and other prototyping activities
- Conduct testing of PCBAs and other components to ensure they meet specifications
- Identify and troubleshoot issues during the testing process
- Assume a pivotal role in identifying and resolving persistent issues at both component and system levels
- Perform micro-soldering tasks, including:
- SMD components, fine-pitch ICs, high pin-count connectors & Reball and reflow BGA components
- Provide comprehensive training and technical support to fellow team members
Requirements:
- Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a related industry, showcasing a robust background in electrical engineering, testing, and integration
- Extensive experience in micro-soldering and rework
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and under tight deadlines
- Demonstrate exceptional aptitude in understanding and debugging complex electrical systems, coupled with the flexibility to tackle challenges beyond your primary expertise
Bonus Qualifications:
- Experience with schematic and board design software (e.g., Altium or similar)
- Basic Python programming skills and familiarity with similar scripting languages
