AMD together we advance_ THE ROLE: The Core Markets Engineering team is a fast paced and dynamic group made up of Center of Excellences (CoEs) that include Cybersecurity, Functional Safety and Embedded Software. Our charter is to support and develop high quality solutions in each of these CoEs. We are looking for a candidate with strong skills in hardware/software design and development in security applications. The target platform the candidate will work on includes the state-of-the-art Adaptive System-on-Chip (Adaptive SoC).  THE PERSON: A multitasker who enjoys working in a fast paced environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and drive execution of comprehensive, highly effective software for sophisticated new technology and new product introduction projects Engage in deep technical discussions to define security requirements for next generation products.Collaborate closely with multiple teams to deliver key planning solutions and the technology to support them Participate in resolution critical customer support cases Review security architectures in support of customer driven use cases Colloborate closely with engineering teams to manage requirements throughout the product lifecycle (architecture, design, test, etc) using requirement management software and tools Validate new SW features before releasing them to customers Contribute to a high-functioning feature team Collaborate closely with multiple teams to deliver key planning solutions and the technology to support them Help contribute to the design and implementation of future architecture for a highly scalable, durable, and innovative system Work very closely with dev teams and Project Managers to drive results. Support Secure Development Lifecycle activities including Threat Modelling, Penetration Testing, Red Teaming, Code Reviews, etc PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Knowledge in security concepts & cryptographic algorithms in microelectronics Experience with the application of security into products and systems Experience with security certifications (e.g. Common Criteria and/or FIPS) Experience in logic fundamentals and FPGA design Experience in use of simulation and verification techniques Experience in Verilog, VHDL, Python, PERL, C, or other programming languages Hands on experience with lab equipment in a testing environment Knowledge of ARM-based Embedded Systems Knowledge of other Embedded OS such as RTOS Knowledge of Embedded Hypervisors Knowledge of Trusted Execution Environment Knowledge of ARM Trustzone Technology Excellent communication skills, both written and oral ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: Bachelor’s, Master’s degree or PhD in Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline LOCATION: Albuquerque, New Mexico #LI-Remote #LI-AP3 At AMD, your base pay is one part of your total rewards package. Your base pay will depend on where your skills, qualifications, experience, and location fit into the hiring range for the position.
