ABOUT THE ROLE
The Executive Producer will lead and oversee the local post-production teams, focusing on enhancing bandwidth and driving innovation in our processes. This role involves managing all aspects of post production, including identifying partners, timing, budgeting, and sourcing deliverables across various accounts. A strong understanding of creative deliverables across multiple mediums is essential, along with the ability to leverage innovative technologies and AI to optimize internal workflows while maintaining traditional practices.
The ideal candidate will bring creative visions to life while elevating the work through close collaboration with internal teams. The Executive Producer should ensure that post production processes are efficient and effective, fostering a positive environment that empowers team members to excel.
This role requires maintaining regular communication with integrated producers and business affairs managers, providing support and supervision to post producers both in the office and across the network. The Executive Producer will maintain senior-level contact with agency creatives and client engagement. While local projects will be the primary focus, the EP will collaborate across offices as needed and report directly to the Head of Post Production.
The Executive Producer should solve problems in a timely and cost-effective manner while managing multiple projects simultaneously. Familiarity with the dynamics of an agency and knowledge of how to engage with alignment teams across the Americas is crucial.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide post production partnership during the creative development phase, offering insights on craft and feasibility while recommending execution strategies around talent.
- Ensure each project aligns with the brief and adheres to format and asset scaling from development through post production.
- Educate and socialize best practices and processes within Monks to enhance collaboration and efficiency.
- Collaborate with accounts to manage intake processes for new briefs or project kickoffs, staffing senior and mid-level post producer support as needed.
- Participate in creative work sessions with internal teams to manage production during development, facilitating weekly status meetings to support creative delivery within budget.
- Connect craft partners within Monks, overseeing all post production departments to ensure talent selection and availability align with project needs.
- Manage and develop pre-bid processes, including timelines, rough costs, and incorporating creative input from internal teams.
- In partnership with Integrated Production, oversee the treatment phase, bid process, and package preparation following pre-bid approval.
- Collaborate with business affairs to create project estimates and ensure all approvals are in place.
- Partner with finance to onboard new vendors, issue deal memos, and ensure timely vendor payments.
- Work with business affairs on talent and asset management.
- Lead key areas of project management during shoots and oversee the local post production team, guiding agency and client through approvals.
- Ensure the quality of work meets agency and Monks standards and client objectives.
- Provide account leadership from a post production perspective, overseeing all productions per agency relationship from start to finish.
- Develop executive-level relationships with internal teams to foster collaboration and streamline processes.
- Lead, manage, and mentor a team of post producers, providing clear career paths within our hybrid agency/production model.
- Oversee project wrap-ups with post producers, business affairs, and finance for reconciliation.
- Track diversity and inclusion initiatives across all productions, ensuring representation in front of and behind the lens, as well as in post-production talent.
- Create and refine post production processes that align with Monks' agency model, implementing improvements based on monthly feedback from clients and agencies.
- Produce innovative and meaningful work at the highest craft levels, integrating AI and emerging technologies to enhance production quality while respecting traditional workflows.
