LOCATION: Austin, TX ONSITE: This role requires the student to work from the Austin office throughout the duration of the Co-op/Intern term. PROGRAM TERM: Fall 2024: Start Date August 19th or September 9th, 2024 RESPONSIBILITIES: You will be responsible for executing projects for AI software framework development and benchmarking. You will be involved in model migration to our RyzenAI stack and ensuring that the models are quantized and optimized to run on the AI stack. You will research on model inference acceleration and involved in software simulation. You will be participating in research and development of deployment solutions for deep learning models on embedded devices. You will be participating in the development of AI compilers and related tools You will work very closely with dev teams and Project Managers to drive results. You will be writing technical documents and reports, participating in technical exchanges and presentations. KEY QUALIFICATIONS: You are currently enrolled in an accredited US University into a Masters or PhD degree program majoring in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineer, Computer Science or related discipline with a focus on AI/ML. You have good programming ability in Python and/or C++. Knowledge of C will be a bonus. You are familiar with some popular development tools, e.g. git, cmake, make, conda or docker You have basic knowledge about data structure and algorithms, algorithm optimization, neural network, computer architecture. You have proficiency in common deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow etc. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: You have familiarity with Rust Programming. You have experience on AI framework development or operator implementation. You have knowledge of ONNX. You have a basic knowledge about data structure and algorithm, algorithm optimization, image processing, neural network, computer architecture. You have some experience with ML quantization and AI compilers and familiarity with existing framework like TVM, LLVM, MLIR. At AMD, your base pay is one part of your total rewards package. Your base pay will depend on where your skills, qualifications, experience, and location fit into the hiring range for the position.
