AMD together we advance_ THE ROLE: The candidate will be a Lead Member of the Silicon Architecture team for AMD’s Adaptive and Embedded Computing Group (AECG). The candidate will help create the definition and specification for future, industry leading Adaptive SoCs and FPGAs. The focus of the activity will be centered around foundational silicon technologies and efficient device performance. AMD's environment is fast paced, results oriented, and built upon a legion of forward-thinking people with a passion for winning technology.   KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: · Identify technology challenges and innovative solutions · Explore architecture and technology alternatives to the status quo · Establish aggressive, fact-based targets and a vision for achieving them · Establish meaningful metrics to guide through difficult trade-offs in a data-driven methodology · Evangelize product capabilities and technologies internally and externally · Develop strong documentation, product specs, and white papers · Build and share substantial knowledge of state-of-the-art techniques, along with their relevance toward Adaptive SoCs and other silicon products PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: · Progressive years of industry-relevant semiconductor experience · Extensive experience working with or developing for FPGAs · Strong background in advanced packaging technology · Strong background in heterogeneous integration through various die stacking technologies · Strong background in advanced techniques for managing high power density · Strong background in Dynamic Voltage Frequency Scaling (DFVS) or other techniques for maximining performance and power efficiency · Breadth of understanding around reliability, safety, and security issues · Basic understanding of FPGA design flows and complexities ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: · MS or PhD in related discipline preferred LOCATION: San Jose, CA #LI-IL1 #LI-HYBRID At AMD, your base pay is one part of your total rewards package. Your base pay will depend on where your skills, qualifications, experience, and location fit into the hiring range for the position.
