Shield AI is seeking a Finance Data Engineering & Analytics Manager to join our Finance team. This pivotal role will drive the scaling of our data-driven decision-making processes, providing real-time insights that shape key financial and operational strategies. You will leverage advanced analytics, visualization tools, and financial modeling techniques to support strategic initiatives and enhance performance optimization.

What you'll do:

Lead the creation and implementation of a comprehensive data strategy to enhance data quality, governance, and accessibility across Finance.

Utilize SQL, Python, and advanced Excel techniques to extract, transform, and analyze complex datasets.

Design, implement, and maintain Microsoft Fabric data warehouse / lakehouse to consolidate and house key financial & operational data from disparate data sources across the organization to build a single source of truth.

Automate data workflows and optimize extract, transform, and load processes to improve reporting efficiency and data integrity.

Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to provide real-time financial insights for key stakeholders.

Partner with cross-functional teams, including FP&A, Accounting, and Program Finance to integrate financial data with broader business intelligence frameworks.

Ensure alignment with company-wide data architecture and compliance with data governance standards in collaboration with IT and Engineering.

Required qualifications:

At least 5 years of experience in business intelligence, financial analytics, or data strategy roles

Advanced proficiency in Power BI, SQL, and Excel (including Power Query and Power Pivot) for data visualization and analysis.

ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) and data integration skills

· Familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure

· Understanding of data modeling and database design principles

· Advanced knowledge of data warehousing concepts

· Ability to work with structured and unstructured data

· Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools

Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Strong knowledge of database systems and SQL

Preferred qualifications:

Experience in a software, defense technology or aerospace company.

Deep knowledge of ERP / MRP systems like SAP or Deltek Costpoint and integration with BI tools.

Experience working with Python and/or Microsoft Fabric for data management, analytics, and automation.

Exposure to FP&A processes and strategic financial planning in high-growth or startup environments.

of employment)

Salary compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, licenses and certifications, and specific work location. All offers are contingent on a cleared background and possible reference check.
