THE ROLE: Technical program manager role is responsible for leading program level firmware and FPGA deliverables and related dependencies, ensuring firmware and FPGA dedication delivery on schedule for next generation AMD Server products. THE PERSON: The ideal candidate has been responsible for the delivery of programs from Concept through Customer Ship, working with large, matrixed teams to plan and execute system level products. You will understand the technical challenges in the interaction of silicon, software and board elements on next generation computing system solutions. You are energized by working in a fast-paced technical organization across multiple sites, with multifaceted product requirements. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for leading program level firmware and FPGA deliverables and related dependencies, ensuring firmware commitment delivery on schedule from emulation through end of life. Responsibilities include defining and leading key product deliverables/schedules and driving cross functional activities to achieve high quality deliverables to internal teams as well as customers. Primary contact for firmware deliverables and issue status for AMD internal teams. Foster relationship with program, development, QA and validation teams, while leading expectations of internal and external teams. Advocate strong process discipline for firmware release sampling, silicon release sampling, firmware issue tracking and operational firmware processes. Align with AMD cross-functional teams (Design, Platform, Validation & QA, Customer Teams, and Firmware/FPGA Development) on requirements, schedules, and deliverables, as well as communicating same. Coordinate hardware and silicon sampling ordering to meet committed firmware/FPGA deliverables. Maintain awareness of, and provide status reports on firmware readiness, status and key issues. Identify program risks and coordinate with firmware management on mitigation plans. Commit to the highest levels of internal and external customer happiness. Initiates significant changes to existing processes and methods to improve project and team efficiencies. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Experience in areas of datacenter system design, software development, and validation Experience in the computing industry, at the OEM, ODM, or technology provider level. Experience managing and delivering programs. Experience leading cross-functional and cross-regional teams to deliver program goals. Outstanding written and oral communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Results driven. Highly organized, strong attention to detail, able to prioritize, and balance multiple work streams to tight deadlines. Deals efficiently with people in tense situations and confronts and resolves conflicts efficiently. Ability to network quickly and independently to align resources towards a common goal. Ensures that project goals and project objectives are met. Makes decisions or takes actions that move items to closure without divisiveness.
