As the newest member of our Finance team, you will play a pivotal role in building our FP&A capabilities from the ground up. You’ll own financial forecasting, planning, and analysis efforts, provide actionable insights to our leadership team, and help us make data-driven decisions as we grow. You’ll own forward-looking scenario models and long-range plans to track growth drivers and inform growth strategies. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
This role is hybrid, based out of Austin TX; Toronto, CA; or Santa Clara, CA.

Responsibilities:
- Build and own financial models to forecast revenue, expenses, and cash flow across multiple scenarios.
- Partner with department heads to develop budgets, track performance, and identify areas for improvement.
- Deliver monthly and quarterly reporting packages for internal, external, and board-level stakeholders.
- Analyze key business metrics and provide insights that influence strategic decisions.
- Support fundraising efforts and investor reporting with clear, compelling financial data.
- Implement FP&A systems, tools, and processes to scale with the business.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as Sales, Marketing, Product, and Operations.
- Collaborate with Accounting, Tax, Treasury to build effective and efficient process capabilities.
Experience & Qualifications:
- 5-8+ years of experience in FP&A, investment banking, corporate finance, or a similar role.
- Proven ability to build models from scratch and drive insights through data.
- Experience in a high-growth startup, SaaS, or tech-driven environment preferred.
- Deep understanding of financial statements and financial metrics.
- Strong communication skills—you can explain complex financial topics to non-finance audiences.
- Comfort with ambiguity and a “builder” mindset—you thrive in a startup environment.
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills
Compensation for all engineers at Tenstorrent ranges from $100k - $500k including base and variable compensation targets. Experience, skills, education, background and location all impact the actual offer made.
