At Tome, engineers take ownership of projects from inception to impact, collaborating across functions and pushing the envelope on what’s possible in applied AI systems development. You’ll work alongside a talented team to deliver industry-leading solutions and contribute to Tome’s product and technical vision.
What you’ll doCollaborate with product and technical leaders to identify customer problems, scope requirements, and implement solutions.
Build and maintain full-stack systems, end-to-end, from user interfaces to backend services, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance.
Develop metrics and observability to enable the launch, maintenance, and continuous improvement of systems and features.
Stay on top of current industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously evolve our tech stack and development processes.
Participate in code reviews, mentor teammates, and help to define engineering practices.
Contribute to building a world-class engineering team through recruiting and mentorship.
You have 6+ years of experience in software development, with a strong background in both front-end and back-end technologies.
You’ve built scalable, high-performance systems that can handle large amounts of data and traffic.
You’re excited about Large Language Models (LLMs) and the opportunity to build systems that support and leverage them.
You have the ability to ramp quickly on tech stack that features TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, Apollo GraphQL, and Aurora PostgreSQL.
You have a degree in Computer Science or a related field, with a strong foundation in software engineering principles.
You’re excited to develop new best practices in an emerging domain.
You’re able to independently drive projects with ambiguous problems and deliver results.
You enjoy balancing an ambitious vision with frequent, meaningful user value delivery.
