Overview
Leverage your public safety industry experience to inform, educate, and inspire Esri users and prospects in the public safety industry. You will help identify, craft, and execute marketing campaigns that support targeted goals and objectives and provide your expertise and passion to help lead the Esri Disaster Response Program (DRP) daily operations. As an industry specialist, you will research and report on financial, technological, and other factors that affect the public safety market and collaborate with key internal stakeholders to help define, execute, and measure public safety marketing strategies. You will also help lead the forward-facing GIS aspects of our Esri Disaster Response Program (DRP) on the web, in meetings, and within the community.
Responsibilities
- Assist Industry Managers in engaging with marketing, sales, products, professional services, international distributors, education, and partner teams to deliver campaign tactics successfully
- Assist the Disaster Response Program (DRP) operations manager with daily, 24x7 global response operations and management; and provide GIS domain expertise to advance the forward-facing aspects of the DRP within the community
- Support a regular cadence of content (such as webinars, customer success stories, eBooks, social media, blogs, and more) that drives awareness, demand, and community
- Draw upon industry knowledge, research, writing, and collaboration skills
- Prepare for, manage logistics and personally engage in events such as conferences, tradeshows, seminars, webinars, and user group meetings
- Contribute to the growth of the public safety community on social media and the Esri Community
- Work collaboratively with marketing staff to create, manage, and execute campaign tactics, including effective internal communications, to meet team goals
- Track campaign progress and proactively work with internal and external customers to move activities forward
- Research, evaluate, and assist efforts on strategic industry positioning and gain validation by internal and external experts
- Utilize and continue to develop deep GIS domain expertise and be responsible for providing industry expertise to support internal requests, partner engagements, and customer meetings
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience working in the public safety industry
- Knowledge of GIS and its application within the public safety domain
- Excellent communication skills to include written, verbal, and presentation
- Highly organized, strongly self-motivated, and have the ability to multi-task activities with shifting priorities
- Quick learner with a positive attitude
- Strong decision-making, problem resolution, and creative thinking skills
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability and willingness to travel
- Bachelor’s in marketing, GIS, geography, or related field

Recommended Qualifications
- Familiarity with web-based business systems
- Practical GIS experience in emergency response or other public safety discipline
- Master’s in marketing, GIS, geography, or related field
