About the Team
Our hardware team is looking for an intern to join us in our mission to better everyday life through robotics. The Electrical Engineering Modules team is a tightly-knit group with a deep culture of safety, performance and reliability, which we apply to all of our projects and programs.
About the Role
As a Robots hardware engineer intern, you will work closely with leading experts in the fields of mechanical engineering, test, electrical engineering, sensors and others. This role will give you the opportunity to work alongside a representative cross-section of the people responsible for Nuro's Autonomy hardware.
About the Work
- Drive a PCBA design project from concept lock through board bringup and validation
- Work with best-in-field engineers to develop and review new and novel solutions for new and deployed products
- Support Nuro's Self-Driving fleet through hands-on triage and testing
About You
- Strong electrical engineering fundamentals.
- PCB design (schematic/layout), bring up, and debug skills. Familiar with popular EDA tools.
- Familiarity with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, power supplies, and other debugging tools.
- Technically Curious - Excitement about the technology, coupled with a strong growth mindset are critical to success.
Bonus Points
- Specific knowledge of relevant industry standards: Ethernet (T and T1), I2C, SPI, CAN, PCIe, etc
- Experience with circuit simulation - double bonus points for high speed simulation (HFSS, SIWave, Hyperlynx, etc)
- Proficiency in Altium Design tools
- Python, Verilog C/C++
For this position, the reasonably expected base salary rate is $8,000 /Month. Your actual base pay will depend on several factors, including your experience, qualifications, education, location, and skills.
