AMD together we advance_ THE ROLE: The Datacenter Team is looking for dynamic and energetic Silicon Validation Engineers. As a key contributor to the time-to-market success of AMD’s GPU based accelerators, you will work in collaborative teams to ensure quality of industry leading products for Machine Learning and High-Performance Computing applications. This role focuses on the SOC IPs involved in AMD Infinity Fabric™ interconnect architecture. Our team fosters continuous innovation and is committed to nurturing you career growth. THE PERSON: A collaborative problem solver capable in test content creation and execution of Silicon Validation. As a Lead Validation Engineer, you will drive balanced, scalable, and automated solutions. You will need to drive automation testplan capabilities for the team. You should feel comfortable to be hands-on with Linux-based datacenter platforms in the labs. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Owning and executing end to end validation plan for datacenter projects for Internal IPs (Infinity Fabric). Debugging issues found during the process, bring-up, validation, and production phases of SOC programs Working with multiple teams, and tracking test execution to make sure all features are validated and optimized on time Working closely with supporting technical teams Driving technical innovation to improve AMD’s capabilities across validation, including tool and script development, technical and procedural methodology enhancement, and various internal and cross-functional technical initiatives. Leading collaborative approach with multiple teams PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Strong Computer Architecture Fundamentals (Caches, FIFOs, FSM, RB, etc.) Extensive knowledge of system architecture, technical debug, and validation strategy Programming/scripting skills (e.g. Python, C/C++, Perl, Ruby,) Debug techniques and methodologies Extensive experience with board/platform-level debugging, including delivery, sequencing, analysis, and optimization Strong analytical/problem-solving skills and pronounced attention to details Must be a self-starter, and able to independently drive tasks to completion Extensive Linux knowledge is an asset.
