As an IP Paralegal, you will be responsible for a variety of processes, ranging from administrative legal tasks to strategic decisions.You will play a crucial role in protecting and leveraging Helsing’s intellectual property assets, ensuring they align with the company’s strategic goals. By serving as the primary liaison between the legal team and external lawyers, as well as liaising with authorities, you will facilitate effective communication and compliance. Your attention to detail and strong organisational skills will enhance operational efficiency, helping to maintain a competitive edge in the marketplace.
The day-to-day- Work closely with our IP attorney to handle the formal processing of IP-related matters (patents, trademarks, designs), including drafting inventor agreements and preparing/evaluating trademark search reports
- Work closely with technology teams to understand our products and mission, enabling Helsing to best protect our IP which includes solutions to serve our democracies
- Be involved in strategic decisions regarding IP filings and actions against third-party IP rights
- Serve as a primary point of contact between the Legal team and our external lawyers in IP matters
- Liaise with authorities regarding IP matters
- Independently maintain the internal IP systems
- Perform other administrative and operational tasks as required
- Have an educational background in IP matters (e.g., training as an IP paralegal, patent attorney assistant, or similar training as a legal, administrative, or judicial assistant)
- Have several years of relevant professional experience in an IP law firm or IP department of an international company
- Possess a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Have excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively liaise with team members and stakeholders
