In this exciting position, the content reviewer will localize, translate, and adapt music lyrics and related content while adhering to the writing style guide and guidelines.

OVERVIEW

In this exciting position, the content reviewer will localize, translate, and adapt music lyrics and related content while adhering to the writing style guide and guidelines.

Main Duties

Translate lyrics from Korean to Japanese with a high level of accuracy and quality.

Ensure translations are free of grammatical errors, typos, and syntactical issues.

Capture the songs' messages, tones, and emotional nuances.

Localize slang, idioms, and cultural references to resonate with the Japanese audience.

Focus on style, readability, and usability to create an engaging and authentic experience for the target market.

Creatively adapt source content to fit the target market while maintaining the original song's essence.

Requirements

BS/BA in linguistic, translation, musicology, music production, music business, or related fields.

2+ years of work experience in translation, linguistic, copy-writing, or copy-editing.

Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Music with a deep and comprehensive understanding of various music genres, particularly Rock, Pop, and Hip-Hop (R’n’B).

Extensive knowledge and passion for K-POP and J-POP music and culture.

Exceptional command of Korean and Japanese languages, with a keen eye for detail in grammar, syntax, and spelling.

Proven experience in translating lyrics or similar content with a focus on style, readability, and usability.

Ability to creatively translate and adapt content while preserving the original song's message and tone.

Strong understanding of music and cultural references to ensure accurate localization.

Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.
