 About the Role

The Partner Enablement team at OpenAI is crucial for fostering successful partnerships and advancing the company's mission. As a Learning and Certification Program Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring our partners are certified with the knowledge and skills they need to excel in selling, solutioning and deploying OpenAI solutions to our customers. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with leadership to understand partner requirements, designing and implementing effective learning and industry standard certification programs, and staying informed about the credentialing industry trends to ensure our offerings remain world-class.

To excel in this role, you'll need a blend of extensive experience in designing effective learning programs and developing legally defensible certification exams and policies. Your ability to develop a highly desirable certification program and effectively collaborate with both internal stakeholders and partner audiences will be key. Additionally, experience in marketing and driving program adoption within the IT industry will be highly beneficial.

This role is based in San Francisco, CA. You will be required to be in the office Monday through Wednesday, with the option of working from home on Thursday and Friday.

In this role, you will:

  • Collaborate closely with Partner Revenue leadership to assess and address the requirements of the OAI partners.

  • Take ownership of rolling-out and  manage a role-based certification program, including its policies, governance, and the creation of exam preparation materials.

  • Know how to apply sound instructional design and partner with industry-leading psychometric services to effectively roll-out a certification program for a proctored environment and build relevant exam prep materials 

  • Work with Product and GTM subject matter experts to develop world-class OpenAI partner learning products.

  • Conduct regular program reviews with Partner Revenue leadership to ensure alignment with partner business needs.

  • Partner with Legal and Marketing to promote and drive the adoption of the Certification Program.

 You might thrive in this role if you: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design/Adult Learning, or a related field; Master’s degree or equivalent experience preferred. 

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in training development and delivery within the legacy and newer technology sector, with a significant focus on rolling out IT Certification Programs for at least 4-5 years. 

  • A self-starter with ability to work independently, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to connect with the internal technical stakeholders and partner audiences. 

  • An impact-led customer-obsessed mind-set to offer best in class enablement to the audience.

  • Fast learner and ability to thrive in a rapidly changing, high-growth, and collaborative environment.
