Role Summary:
As our legal counsel, under the responsibility of the General Counsel, and in collaboration with public affairs, business and technical teams, you will be instrumental in drafting and discussing our terms and conditions, contracts and agreements with potential suppliers, partners and clients. You will also have an instrumental role in the ramp-up and maintenance of our compliance, around the AI Act, GDPR, and trust and safety in general.
Key responsibilities:
Contracts, terms and conditions and other type of agreements drafting
Contracts review and negotiation, applying the company approach and helping make it evolve as necessary
GDPR compliance documentation and overview
AI Act compliance documentation and overview
Help on other legal topics as needed (labor law, corporate, etc.)
Qualifications:
Educational Background: Master degree in law, bar and international qualification or experience are a plus
Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence: A solid understanding of artificial intelligence technologies, including machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision, and their applications is essential. Familiarity with AI-related legal issues, such as data privacy, intellectual property rights, liability, and ethical considerations, is also important.
Legal Knowledge: Strong knowledge of relevant areas of law, such as intellectual property law, contract law, data protection law, and regulatory compliance, is crucial. Candidates should be able to apply legal principles to AI-related issues and provide legal advice and guidance accordingly.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex legal and technical issues related to AI and to identify potential legal risks and solutions is important. Candidates should be detail-oriented and have strong problem-solving skills.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Strong ability to communicate legal advice to clients and colleagues, and presenting complex legal concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
Adaptability: Given the rapidly evolving nature of AI technologies and the legal landscape surrounding them, candidates should be adaptable and willing to continuously learn and update their skills and knowledge.
Ethical Awareness: A strong understanding of ethical considerations related to AI, such as fairness, transparency, accountability, and bias mitigation, is important for ensuring that AI systems and applications comply with legal and ethical standards.
