THE ROLE:
We are looking for a passionate, dedicated, and creative leader who will be responsible for managing, leading, and developing an engineering team that is working with vairaint engineering teams for post-silicon validation automation, tool and data management, ML/AI development, deployment, and maintenance. Your team will spearhead the automation framework, tools, data management, and ML/AI solution development for AMD's upcoming product lineup, encompassing APU, CPU, and Graphic SOCs, among others
THE PERSON:
Strong communication and team-working skills are essential, with a validated ability to lead and influence. Validated experience inspiring change and working across functions and geographies to deliver products to specific critical metrics.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participating and playing critical role in resource prioritization and task planning. Integreating the local Automation team into the global automation teams.
- Providing day-to-day oversight for the team, with specific responsibilities for the schedule, qualily, process and also the team culture build up.
- While the team has technical leads for many perspectives , this is a technical role that requires broad system knowledge and the ability to drive technical issues to resolution ,
- Driving technical innovation to improve AMD’s capabilities across validation, including tool and script development, technical and procedural methodology enhancement, and various internal and cross-functional technical initiatives.
- Management of a team of 10 engineers, including mentoring and providing technical guidance
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Prior, preferably recent, experience working within the Semiconductor industry blending both engineering expertise with team leadership skills. Knowledge of APU, CPU and the test coverage and methodology is ideal.
- Minimal 3 years management experience
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages and frameworks such as Java, Python, and Node.js, among others.
- Knowledge of microservice architecture and the ability to design and develop scalable, modular, and distributed web applications.
- Expertise in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and experience with front-end frameworks like React or Angular.
- Knowledge of back-end technologies and frameworks such as .NET, Spring, Flask, or Django.
- Familiarity with database technologies such as MSSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and Snowflake.
- Proficient in RESTful APIs and high experience building and consuming APIs.
- Proficient in building WEB UIs.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with testing frameworks such as XUnit, JUnit, PyTest, or Mocha, and knowledge of continuous integration and deployment ractices.
- Fluent English.
- Experience to lead the web design and deployment.
Strong leadership skills.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in related discipline preferred
