THE ROLE:
We are a result oriented ATE Central Engineering organization responsible for the test solution for next-generation AMD Product in a fast-paced environment as part of the Product Engineering Organization. This is a Lead role for ATE test team in both technical and resource management. Responsibilities include microprocessor test content development and validation, test program optimization, driving test time improvements, debug & analysis, represents test team on any test excursions and issue escalations to the respective owner to identify resolution or containment action for the issue.
THE PERSON:
The type of person we are looking for is one with a passion towards technical development, possesses broad technical leadership, critical problem solving and troubleshooting skills. The person must be a team player and have good and effective communications to deep dive into technical discussion with other members across the globe and use data to illustrate their points.
This person is expected to be independent, self-starter, well organized and have the sense of responsibility to see projects through beginning to the end. This person is expected to be market savvy and comfortable in a multi-tasking environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Early engagement in pre and post silicon phases, including test development, Bring-up, flow integration, and hardware qualification
- Wafer sort and/or final test (FT and Fusing) program owner. To develop, optimize, and release program for high volume production.
- Identifies test time reduction, yield improvement opportunities for product margin attainment
- Drives test KPI improvement (test yield, test time, FTRd) and able to integrate, develop and debug ATE test program
- Provides overall Test Engineering supports for AMD’s S3 products tested at global facilities
- Conducts Engineering Evaluations and Analysis from test perspective on engineering enhancement or improvement projects
- Co-works with Product development group and Manufacturing group in the early stage bring up for the product cycles at the AMD high volume sites
- Interface between AMD and OSAT for test program implementation and resolution for operation issues.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- At least 7 years of experience in the Semiconductor product development
- Experience must include technical and specialized knowledge in the areas below:
- Strong in DFT and ATE test methodologies
- Development experience for tests, patterns/vectors, timing, characterization and diagnostics with Advantest 93k
- Debug experience in hardware, software, device, and/or manufacturing domains
- Strong Python/Ruby/Java/Perl/C++ coding skills
- Experience with Linux or Unix Operating System
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with geographically distributed product engineering teams
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- BS/MS in Computer Engineering or Electrical/Electronic Engineering plus 7 years of directly related experience
