AMD together we advance_ THE ROLE: We are the high-end test engineering team providing test solutions for Data Center Graphics (DCG) New Product Introduction (NPI) under the Product Engineering Organization. We do exciting product development for leading-edge technology that will power the next generation processors used for high performance computing, data centers, enterprise servers, and Artificial Intelligence clusters. As an MTS ATE Product Development Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and driving Structural/Functional Test solutions to meet NPI business milestones and KPI (yield, cost, quality), performing debug and analysis of failures and customer returns to improve Product Quality, develop and drive Best Known Methods to ensure Quality at launch. The expectation is to demonstrate leadership through interaction with Design and SoC teams, Product & Test Engineering teams, Customer Quality teams, to come up with the best solution that balance quality and cost. You will experience working with and learning from AMD’s talented engineering teams around the world. THE PERSON: We are looking for someone with strong technical, analytical, communication and problem-solving skills, as well as demonstrating the characteristic of an independent and resourceful individual. The applicant must have a proficient understanding of High Speed IO testing, DFT/Functional tests such as ATPG Scan, Memory BIST etc., on ATE Testers such as Advantest 93K. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Accountable to debug, characterize and develop ATE test solutions to meet business milestone, cost and quality, and to perform root-cause analysis on internal failures and customer returns Solves complex, novel, and non-recurring problems; initiates significant changes to existing processes/methods and leads development and implementation Conduct engineering evaluations and analysis to drive closure of production/quality issues Influences technical decisions that have a significant impact on final product Develop and apply new debug techniques to enhance technical depth in Product and Test Engineering Involves collaboration on or assuming the consultative or leadership responsibilities for a specific project or for product development initiatives May provide technical mentoring for junior engineers PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: At least 5 years of experience in the Semiconductor industry Experience must include technical and specialized knowledge in the areas below: Strong DFT and ATE test methodologies ATPG Scan / MBIST / High speed IO / Thermal pattern development and debug experience Strong ATE & test class/method development experience with Advantest 93k and/or T2K platform preferred Microprocessor architecture and System-on-chip (SOC) Strong Python/Ruby/Java/Perl/C++ coding skills Experience with Mentor or Synopsys or Cadence EDA tools or System Level Testing a plus Experience debugging failures and performing root-cause analysis Experience developing Test and Infrastructure solutions to enhance product Quality Experience with post silicon electrical and mixed signal circuitries is a plus Familiar with using analyzers and oscilloscopes, and other debug tools is a plus Strong and effective presentation, written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work with geographically distributed product engineering teams Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: BS/MS Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or comparable disciplines LOCATION: Singapore #LI-JV1 #LI-HYBRID Benefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.
