AMD together we advance_ THE ROLE:  We are seeking a strong technical individual with significant experience in Emulation to join our Platform Emulation team within our GPU business. Specifically, you will be part of a team that will be responsible for elevating our pre-silicon capability for our GPU products focused on Gaming GPUs.   THE PERSON:  S0i3 enablement experience is a plus Pre silicon ASIC verification experience is a plus Strong FW or Driver coding ability Strong Emulation experience for silicon and FW feature verification Experience in automation and test/integration methodologies. Demonstrated experience driving change and working across functions to deliver products. Strong communication and teamworking skills   KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:  Drive Hardware and Firmware functional test strategy working with GPU SOC, IP and validation teams to bridge between Pre-Si and Post-Si areas Verify S0i3 sequence in Emulation including FW, driver and OS interaction. Develop/modify/enhance functional/stress tests to find silicon bugs on emulator Feature test plan development and execution Hands on work with extended teams to debug environment, drive cross team testing (Diagnostic/Validation/SOC) and establish performance testing capability Provide debug leadership to drive debug data collection and analysis, Waveform capture and analysis Interface with Central Emulation team responsible for helping to develop, debug and establish GPU Emulation environment. Work with other team members to connect test objectives with Emulation environment and future needs Lead early knowledge share for new programs within the team Exploring new technologies, strategic guidance on where we need to grow our team   PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:  Demonstrated experience with Emulation/Simulation X86 based FW/BIOS/Driver coding and debug experience SOC validation/verification experience using advanced pre-silicon environment Programming/scripting skills (e.g. C/C++, Perl, Ruby, Python) Debug techniques and methodologies Extensive knowledge of system architecture, technical debug, and validation strategy Strong analytical/problem-solving skills and pronounced attention to details Must be a self-starter, and able to independently drive tasks to completion   ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:  Bachelors or Masters degree in computer engineering #LI-JG1 #LI-Hybrid Benefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.
