Figure is an AI Robotics company developing a general purpose humanoid. Our Humanoid is designed for corporate tasks targeting labor shortages and jobs that are undesirable or unsafe. We are based in Sunnyvale, CA and require 5 days/week in-office collaboration.
We are looking for a Systems Integration Engineer to lead making our humanoid robot never fall.
Responsibilities:
- Track, triage, and root-cause (with cross-team help as needed) every robot fall
- Drive fixes to falls across mechanical, software, controls, electrical, and firmware teams
- Lead directional changes in fault response and diagnostics architecture to rapidly analyze and resolve falls
- Determine and enforce development and design practices to eliminate falls
Requirements:
- Prior ownership of major functionality for a complex mechatronic system
- Depth in one or more of the following areas: electrical, firmware, mechanical, or controls
- Software development experience in C++ and Python
- Several years experience performing root-cause analysis on a similar type of platform
Bonus Qualifications:
- Prior experience working robotic systems
- Prior experience working with humanoids
- Prior leadership experience
