Figure is an AI Robotics company developing a general purpose humanoid. Our humanoid robot, Figure 02, is designed for commercial tasks and the home. We are based in Sunnyvale, CA and require 5 days/week in-office collaboration. It’s time to build.
We are looking for an Operations Manager to lead Figure’s remanufacturing operations. The remanufacturing team will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and refurbishing defective components on our operational robot fleet as well as supporting offline repairs in our manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities:
- Build, train, and lead Figure’s founding remanufacturing team, providing direction, guidance, and support to establish best in class procedures for diagnosing, repairing, and refurbishing of Figure’s robot fleet.
- Define the equipment and facility requirements to build out state-of-the-art remanufacturing capabilities within Figure’s manufacturing sites. Ensure the facility meets operational demands while optimizing efficiency and safety.
- Plan daily operations of the remanufacturing facility that includes equipment maintenance, part inventory management, and staff attendance tracking. Be the owner for escalating and reporting remanufacturing operations status to management and engineering.
- Justify and create the budget proposals for all equipment and staffing needs.
- Actively engage with service, engineering, production, and quality teams to improve product designs, streamline remanufacturing processes, and enhance overall operational efficiency.
- Develop onboarding and ongoing training documentation for new hires. Train and mentor team members to ensure they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
Requirements
- At least 7 years experience working in a high volume production environment supporting multiple product launches.
- At least 3 years experience leading an End of Line, service repairs, test or a remanufacturing team.
- Strong hands on experience with lean manufacturing principles.
- Expert knowledge in use of manufacturing metrics, such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), to identify bottlenecks and continuous improvement opportunities.
- Excellent communication skills especially using data .
- Able to work well under pressure while managing competing, time-sensitive demands.
- Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution System (MES), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and Enterprise Resource Planning systems(ERP) to store and monitor operations data.
Bonus Qualifications:
- Experience with high tech manufacturing tools and automation.
- Experience with mechanical and electrical test equipment.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $130,000-$200,000/year

The total compensation package may also include additional components/benefits depending on the specific role. This information will be shared if an employment offer is extended.
