AMD together we advance_ THE ROLE: We are searching for a Finance Executive to join our team and support the Global Operations and Quality organization. This is a role that will engage directly within the various groups of the Global Operations organization (locally and abroad), such as Supply Chain, Procurement, Global Logistics, Engineering and Quality, to advise and be a trusted partner to make decisions across the supply chain and related manufacturing capacity. This role will directly support the key company initiatives and growth strategies focused on Revenue & Gross Margin. The other area of focus will be on total AMD inventory and cost accounting related to the corporate accounting close process and SOX controls. This role will collaborate with multiple touchpoints around the company globally – Business Unit controllers, Corporate Financial Planning, Supply Chain, Corporate Accounting, Global operations leaders, and external audit partners. THE PERSON: This person is fluent and experienced in a manufacturing and supply chain focused environment and understands the financial aspects related to pricing, throughput, and inventory and cash implications of any decision and alternate solutions. We seek a leader that can collaborate with all levels of an organization, including Business Unit leaders. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Weekly readout of key financial metrics surrounding Gross Margin initiatives, Operating expenses, Cash, and Inventory. Support executive read-outs related to key financial metrics and topics Inventory quarter end close process and executing related SOX controls Key supplier contract governance and related accounting Provide key schedules and analysis for Board of Director and Audit & Finance Committee meetings Understanding and support of ERP system and interrelated systems that support key financial close processes and controls Efficiently deliver Ad Hoc analysis, reporting, and projects on request PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Strong analytical and interpersonal skills to work on a wide range of initiatives. Good understanding of financial concepts and US GAAP Prior experience in Manufacturing processes and Cost accounting principles are key Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint with strong financial modeling skill is desired. Excellent understanding of/or skills with financial planning & reporting systems. Experience with SAP is preferable, and ERP systems implementation background a plus ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: BS/BA in Finance or Accounting desired MBA in Finance or Accounting a plus LOCATION: Austin, TX #LI-RD1 #LI-HYBRID At AMD, your base pay is one part of your total rewards package. Your base pay will depend on where your skills, qualifications, experience, and location fit into the hiring range for the position.
